OLTA WELCOMES A NEW EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
 
OLTA's Board and Staff are pleased to welcome Deborah Thompson as our new Executive Director. Prior to joining OLTA, she was the Executive Director of the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada for more than four years. She holds the designation of Certified Association Executive and a degree in marketing. She has many years of not-for-profit experience as well as marketing, communications and member service skills through her work at the Canadian Restaurant and Foodservices Association and the Ontario Service Safety Alliance. She has also worked in the for-profit sector for Carlton Cards Canada as public relations manager, and as marketing director with a North American association publisher. Before starting her not-for-profit career, Deborah was a dancer with the National Ballet of Canada.

The Species at Risk (SAR) Specialist will report to and work closely with the Executive Director, taking a leadership role in the development and delivery of SAR related projects of benefit to OLTA and its member land trusts.
